Prayer request from Geraldine: Please pray for my nephew Connor who is seriously ill in Dublin. He is 3 years old and has meningitis, the most virulent type. We are waiting for an MRI scan to determine brain and organ damage. 23.10.08
Follow up on Connor:
Thank you and all in PrayerNet for all your prayers for Connor. As I explained the Doctors said he had brain damage. However in the last 10 days he has made extraordinary progress defying the medical opinion. He has spoken and is responding in leaps and bounds to intensive physiotherapy, all due to prayers and positive thoughts. So now we need to give thanks for this and pray he may be able to walk again. He is now home and began to walk at the weekend. Doctors are calling him the Miracle baby he is beginning an intensive programme this week to help continue this progress. Prayer request Tony: Tony’s daughter Linda was born with serious deficiencies to her water works. After a series of operations in her teens she has enjoyed good standard of health and married 2 years ago. Her surviving kidney has now failed and she was brought back to the Island. Tony writes ‘On Monday saw the start of trips to Nobles for Linda for dialysis - even though it is only 3 hours on dialysis, with setup, and travel, she is out of action for at least 6 hours at a time - and this has to occur every other day’. Wednesday saw a problem with Linda feeling cold, (core temp was up), confirmed on Friday that she has an infection, which has knocked her for six. Today she started off feeling well, but sudden exertion has knocked her totally - so it is now feet up, heating up, wrap up and feed up (with what she can have) - partly comfort, but a lot of necessity as she has had D&V since Thursday to add to the problem.
Urgent Prayer request for Tracy Wenn: Tracy, who is 36 and attends Broadway Baptist Church, has cancer which has spread to her bladder. She has been to Clatterbridge where doctors say she cannot have an operation as the cancer has spread to her lymphoids. Tracy has already had two lots of chemotherapy and is due to go again Tuesday for more where they are hoping to shrink the tumour. Please pray for her husband and Family at this upsetting time. 24.11.08
Prayer request for Joanne Newall: I am struggling with cellulitis on my left foot also spreading to my right district nurse comes every day to dress it. Please pray for my husband Tim that he rediscovers his faith. 24.11.08
Prayer request from Carol Little: Please pray for me and the rest of the Seasonal Chaplaincy Team from the Intercontnental Church Society, when we go out to Zermatt to do our ‘outreach’ from 3 - 11 January 2009. We will be joining up with the Chruch in Zermatt, putting on special services and approaching people in the bars, hotels and ski slopes, taking God’s word to English speaking people of any nationality.
